Designed with women in mind our sanitary pads are naturally encapsulated with Hemp-Seed Oil allowing menstruating women of all ages, worldwide, to show up every day as their best selves. The microcapsules of Hemp Seed Oil gradually open over time with friction from the intimate skin and are also triggered by pH fluctuations in the intimate area. Once the capsules break open the hemp seed oil will be absorbed where it will interact with your body’s nervous system helping regulate and reduce pain, inflammation and malodor caused by menstruation.

What is pH fluctuation?

pH is measured on a scale from 0 to 14 and measures how acidic or alkaline a substance is, 0 being very acidic and 14 being alkaline (basic). A women’s vaginal pH level should be between 3.8 to 4.5 making it very acidic due to the healthy bacteria that lives in the vaginal area. When a woman’s pH level is above 4.5 it creates the perfect environment for unhealthy bacteria to grow. During menstruation a women’s pH level becomes more alkaline as blood has a pH of 7.4. Women’s pH levels can change as bacteria grows and menstruation begins and ends.  The fluctuation in the vaginal pH level will help break the Micro-encapsulation of Hemp Seed Oil.
